Functional results and quality of life after oral cavity reconstruction using autografts

The purpose of the study was to conduct a comparative analysis and evaluate functional results quality life patients with head neck cancer after radical surgery, depending on reconstruction techniques used feasibility using autografts for repair tissue innervation. Material Methods . From 2014 2021a total 133 oral cavity underwent simultaneous or delayed surgery at Clinical Hospital 1 Sechenov University. All were divided into 4 groups: group (n=37, main group): free flaps “with reinnervation”, 2 (n=24): “without 3 (n=23): pedicled axial innervation”, (n=49): innervation”. QLQ-H&N43 questionnaire taken as tool, speech swallowing functions assessed by scales, sensibility Semmes-Weinstein Weber tests, well pain temperature sensation. Results In group, statistically significant best achieved in following scales questionnaire: score - Me=21 (Q1-9; Q3-29) (p=0.038); -Me=27 (Q1-7; Q3-37) (p=0.05) body image Me=22 (Q1-0; Q3-47) (p=0.049). 1, significantly better obtained assessing all sensory except relation less discomfort donor area greater satisfaction cosmetic result, also gained scores than other groups. Conclusion use innervated improves patient treatment long-term follow-up.
